John Philip Wiser (October 4, 1825 – April 30, 1911) was an American-born manufacturer, rancher and political figure in Ontario, Canada. He represented Grenville South in the Canadian House of Commons from 1878 to 1882 as a Liberal member.
He was born in Oneida County, New York, the son of Isaac J. Wiser and Mary Egert. In 1856, he married Emily, the daughter of Harlow Godard. Wiser moved to Prescott, Ontario in 1857 after Averell and Egert purchased a distillery there; he started as manager and, five years later, took over the business. At one time, it was the third largest distillery in Canada. Wiser also operated a large farm, raising cattle and racing horses.
After Wiser's death, the distillery in Prescott was merged with Corby Distilleries.
